The story
Seventy-three cars entered the May 26, 2007, event at West Plains. Bloomquist was the fastest qualifier at 14.197 seconds, but Wallace won his heat and carried that speed into the feature.
Wallace never surrendered the lead. His flag-to-flag victory paid $41,000, with Moyer second, Brian Shirley third, Clint Smith fourth and Brady Smith fifth.
The result gave Wallace three Show-Me 100 victories in six years. The 24-car feature’s listed payouts reached $163,700, the largest total in the event since 2000.
