The story
The Show-Me 100 returned to West Plains Motor Speedway on May 28, 1994, with 79 cars competing for 24 feature positions. Tony Cardin was the fastest qualifier at 16.405 seconds, while Moyer won his heat to secure his place in the main event.
Once the feature began, nobody displaced the defending winner. Moyer led every lap and earned $30,000, an increase of $5,000 from his inaugural victory. Scott Bloomquist finished second, followed by Freddy Smith, Jack Boggs and Wendell Wallace.
The posted payouts totaled $120,500 across the feature field, $19,000 more than the inaugural race. Two years into its history, the Show-Me 100 had produced one winner, with Moyer sweeping the opening editions and collecting $55,000 in winner’s shares.
